The Mobile County Training School Alumni Association family is planning to host two special events in the month of November 2023 that embrace our mission and history: The Lantern Walk November 3-5, 2023, and the All MCTS Alumni Reunion, November 24- 25, 2023. We will celebrate and remember the connection of Dr. Booker T. Washington and Mr. Julius Rosenwald to MCTS as we will keep our history alive and raise funds to support our mission.

Mobile County Training School (MCTS) has been and continues to be the educational anchor of the Africatown Community having positively touched thousands of lives. The legacy of names that germinated from this institution are many. The founders, who were dedicated and determined to develop this institution, were inspired to meet the challenges and sacrifices they had to overcome to make this school a reality with their limited resources.
It is this sacrifice, dedication, and unconditional love for Mobile County Training School that we, the alumni, must strive to continue. We appreciate your positive response as we recognize and celebrate these important events.
